Sophomore Year Experience Dues Form and Survey

Sophomore Year Experience logoLincoln University’s Sophomore Year Experience (SYE) program is the cornerstone of the second year success retention initiative.  The program is dedicated to assisting sophomore students in overcoming the popular phase known as the, “sophomore slump.”  With innovative programs and services to support sophomore students, we aim to increase academic performance, improve and enhance relationship development, positively influence career and vocational exploration, and ultimately impact retention.

Your second year marks an important transition in your college career. The Sophomore Year Experience (SYE) Program is designed to address the unique issues and challenges sophomores may face and provides innovative programs to assist you in making a successful transition from your first year to second.

In order to be officially classified as a sophomore, you must have a combined total of 30 credit hours from the fall and spring semesters.  It is understandable that some students may withdraw or may not pass one or two classes during the academic year; however, by attending summer school or taking more courses than required, they can still expect to graduate with their Class.  Therefore, students who failed to earn the required number of credit hours to be classified as a sophomore will also have the opportunity to participate in the SYE program with their classmates.  The SYE program will assist in providing them with the necessary guidance, academic resources, and life learning skills needed to accomplish their goals and achieve success.
