Brion Robinson Named CIAA Defensive Back of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Lincoln's Brion Robinson (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook HS) was named the CIAA Defensive Back of the Week announced by The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) in conjunction with the CIAA Football Coaches Association and Sports Information Directors Association on Tuesday, November 10th for his performance against Chowan University.

Defensively, Brion Robinson (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook HS) had a game-high nine tackles including seven solo stops. He became the all-time leader at Lincoln in solo tackles (230) after making seven against the Hawks. He passes Brandon McElwee's 229 total solo tackles record set back in 2011.

In 2015 Brion started in all ten games for the Lions recording 51 total tackles. Robinson had 44 solo tackles, seven assisted tackles, and 9.0 tackles for a loss of yardage. He collected three interceptions and returned one for a touchdown against Alderson Broaddus. Brion forced three fumbles, recovered one fumble, and had two passes defended. He posted a season-high nine tackles in the season finale against Chowan.

Lincoln ended their 2015 season with an overall record of 3-7 and 1-6 in CIAA play. Their season win total is the most for a Lincoln football team since the 2009 season (3-7).
