Lincoln University President To Testify Today At State Budget Hearings

Acting President Dr. Valerie Harrison will be in Harrisburg today advocating on behalf of the university’s annual commonwealth appropriation. The president will appear with the leaders from the three other state-related schools at hearings before the House and Senate Appropriations committees.

Today’s House Appropriations Committee hearing will be held at 9:30 a.m.; the Senate Appropriations Committee is scheduled to meet at 1 p.m.

Rev. Al Sharpton to Speak at Lincoln University’s Parents’ Day Luncheon on March 21

Rev. Sharpton, a 2004 presidential candidate, has received a commitment from Democratic Presidential nominee John Kerry to promote Sharpton’s urban agenda campaign. 

WHO: 2004 Presidential candidate Rev. Al Sharpton will be the keynote speaker at Lincoln University’s Parents’ Day Luncheon.

Langston Hughes Memorial Library Awarded NEH Preservation Assistance Grant

Manning-Miller Receives Scripps Howard Fellowship for Journalism Entrepreneurship Institute

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – Chair of The Lincoln University’s Mass Communications department, Dr. Carmen Manning-Miller, was among 11 other journalism professors competitively selected as fellows for The Scripps Howard Journalism Entrepreneurship Institute at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Jan. 4-8.

This morning, The Lincoln University Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of President Dr. Robert R. Jennings.
