There was an email circulating January 25 addressed to Lincoln students about a threat of violence. Public Safety received the email and investigated its origin.

Upon further review and working with other agencies, it appears the threat was credible and was directed at a high school in another state with the name "Lincoln" contained therein. The time frame for the threat has elapsed and it further appears that situation has been contained.

Thanks to everyone that forwarded this email to administration, and to the Public Safety Department of Lincoln University PA for its review and investigation. It was treated as a credible threat and safety protocols were exercised as warranted in such cases.
