Qualifies for IC4A Championship at 800-meters

Charlotte, N.C. - Kyuande Johnson (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) earned his second consecutive Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's indoor Track and Field Runner of the Week honors following his performance at Saturday's Collegeville Classic at Ursinus College.

Johnson won the 800-meter run at the meet, besting the field with a time of 1:56.00.  His time also qualifies him for the IC4A Championship Meet held at Boston University on March 1-3.  The IC4A meet is one of the oldest track meets in the country, pre-dating the NCAA National Championships and draws elite competitors from many NCAA Division I and a few Division II schools in the Eastern United States.

Kyuande's time is also the top time in the CIAA this season for the 800 meter event after being converted for track size (1:54.37). It is also an indoor personal best.

The Lincoln University Men's Track and Field team will be back in action on Friday, January 25, 2019 when they compete at the Little Dip Invitational, hosted by Franklin and Marshall College.
