Dr. Admasu Tucho, an Associate Professor and native of Ethiopia, has his B.A. degree in history from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia), M. Ed. and M.S. degrees in Educational Administration and Adult & Continuing Education from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with concentration in Higher Education from Temple University.

Before joining the Lincoln University academic community in August 2004 on tenure track status, Dr. Tucho served as a secondary school history teacher (1982-1985) & (1987-1988) in Ethiopia and Secretary-General of Ethiopia’s Teachers Association for Tigray Region (1986) in Ethiopia. He also worked as an adult education instructor at the Community College of Philadelphia for 14 years (1990-2004). He was a founder and CEO of a tax-exempt organization called Center for Refugees and Immigrants Education in Philadelphia, CRIE (2002-2004).

At Lincoln University, in addition to teaching and serving in different Standing Committees university-wide, Dr. Tucho has served as Graduate Education Programs Coordinator, Interim Chair, and Chair of Education Department and academic advisor.  He continues to teach graduate-level courses from both Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership programs.

Dr. Tucho has made scholarly presentations to numerous conferences and seminars domestically and internationally.  He has also published in several refereed journals, such as the Western Journal of Black Studies, and Lincoln Journal of Social and Political Thought.  Dr. Tucho is a successful grant writer and is involved in multiple communities and church activities in the Philadelphia, PA, area.
