Political Science Department

The Discipline of Politics or Political Science is both ancient and modern at the same time. It is the struggle for power, a phenomenon so vital to society that Aristotle declared: “Politics is the master science upon which all of civilization depends” (3rd C. BCE).

The Political Science offers BS and BA degrees. A minor in International Relations and a certificate only program for Pre-Law are also offered.

The department's offices are located in John Miller Dickey Hall on the third floor. Dr. Chieke E. Ihejirika, interim department chair, is located in room 351.
