Courtney N. Haywood is Lecturer of Strategic Communications at Lincoln University. She has over nine years of experience in both fields of Education and Music Entertainment. Courtney has worked with several stakeholders in the field of Music Entertainment such as MTV, SONY Music Entertainment, Essence Festival, Radio One, and DJ Irie’s Miami Celebrity Weekend-just to name a few!
Her passion is to incorporate “real world” experience into the classroom learning objectives for the students at Lincoln University. Courtney’s classroom setting has awarded students with the opportunity to interview Nick Grant (Atlantic Recording Artist), June’s Diary (SONY Recording Artists), Anthony Supreme (Dreamville/Red Audio Videographer), Day 26 (Former Badboy Recording Artist), and a number of industry movers and shakers!
At Lincoln University, Courtney has assisted with the development of the 2018 Mass Communications Week. In the 2018 Spring Semester, she was a Research Mentor and has received a Faculty Development Grant to curate our 2019 Mass Communications Conference. Courtney has worked with a number of students to allot them opportunities to work with NYFW, Style Fashion Week, BET Awards, and a number of other opportunities. As of recently, Courtney has wrote a few lifestyle articles for Blavity, a an American Internet media company and website based in Los Angeles, created by and for black millennial.
