William K. Dadson

William Kwame Eduful Dadson, Ph.D; CSL

Dr. William Kwame Eduful Dadson received a BA in Mass Communications with major in Advertising and an MSBA in Finance , Texas Tech University; an MA in international studies with major concentration in International Economics, MIM in International  Management and Economics , and a Ph.D. international studies with major concentration in International Economics and Business Administration with minor Technology and Public Policy from University of Denver. Currently, he is Professor of Economics and Finance and Interim Chairman in the Department of Business and Entrepreneurship Studies at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. From 1992 to 1998, then 2000 to 2003, he served as the department’s Chairman. In 1995, at the request of President Sudarkasa, Dr. Dadson led the development of the Master of Science in Administration.

He also served from 1995-97 as served as the Chairman of the Division of Social Science and Behavioral Studies at Lincoln University. During the same period, he was an Adjunct Professor/Consultant to the Wharton’s Emerging Nations Executive Management Training Program. During the 1984 to 1985 academic year, taught at University of Louisiana at Lafayette as an Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance.

In 1987, he was a Fulbright/Hays Scholar to Togo, Benin and Sierra Leone where he researched on the “Impact of Privatization on the Economies of Togo and Sierra Leone. In 1996, the American Seminar Leaders Association certified me as a Seminar Leader. In 1997, he was cited as one of America’s Leading Business Educators by SIFE. From 1998 to 2000, he was a Regional review member of the Academy of Education Department’s National Security Study Abroad Student Selection Committee. In addition he was a founding member of Global Awareness Society International, Nissan Fellow, and Walton Fellow.

Dr. Dadson developed the Students in Free Enterprise (now Enactus) at Lincoln Universality in 1995 and led the group to several regional championships. He is still its campus advisor. He also established Sigma Beta Delta, Business Honor Society at the Lincoln University in 1996. As the chairman of the department he led the development of Finance and Entrepreneurship Center at Lincoln University in 1994 which received funding from J P Morgan and the British Consulate in New York Xerox Corporation.

From 1995 to the present, Dr. Dadson has been serving as Lincoln University Campus representative of the City Fellows Program, a British organization which recruits Finance and Economic graduates for investment and Banking Training in England. From 2004 -2006, he also served on the US division of the British Initiatives for Africa. Dr. Dadson brought the committee to Lincoln University for a major meeting in June 2005 at the Vail Hall. Dr. Dadson also taught as an Adjunct professor of Economics and Finance at Wilmington University from 1995 to 2007

Dr. Dadson was instrumental in the development of the Executive Management Program of the Center for Public Policy and Diplomacy in 1990. From 1990 to 1997, he served as its Associate Director for the training program supervising and managing the training of executives from Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe. Through my academic career, His early work in Economics is in the areas of privatization and Economic Management. Since 1999, however, the devastating impact of AIDS/HIV has added Economic Impact of AIDS/HIV to his research interest. He has attended several meetings and conferences on HIV/AIDS and visited HIV/AIDS Centers in Botswana (December 2002) and Ghana (July 2002, July 2003) in his visit to the respective countries.

Dr. Dadson has served on several committees since he came to Lincoln University from department Level to University-wide. At the departmental level, he has served on the curriculum Development Committee, Interview committees, thesis committees, and coordinator for the assessing the Finance Program every year since 2009.On the divisional Level, he served on the Curriculum Committee. On University wide, Dr. Dadson has served on The Finance Committee and Governance Committee for assessment. He has also served on the Judicial Committee, Honors committee, Academic policy Committee. Currently, I am serving on the Honors Committee.

In March 2012, at the request of Dr. Thelma Thompson, the then acting Provost and Vice president for Academic Affairs, I chaired and participated in the completion of the development of an Engineering Program proposal. In January, 2012, Dr. Thompson asked me to develop a Hotel and Restaurant and Industry Management curriculum for Lincoln University. The Curriculum is completed and Submitted to Dr. Eke, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Dr. Joseph, Dean School of Social Science and Behavioral Studies, and Dr. Richards, Chairman of Department of Business and Entrepreneurship Studies.

Dr. Dadson has also served as both president and vice President of the Lincoln University AAUP chapter. Currently, he is member of Lincoln Chapter’s negotiating Team.

He coached and led Lincoln University Students to a Finalist position in the Ford Motor Company Entrepreneurship/Business Plan Completion on Friday, April 17, 2009, Atlanta Georgia.
