  Complete the Authorization to Release Info.

This form is required for all students in order for us to share any information regarding your financial aid to anyone other than yourself, and can be altered at any point during your enrollment.

Submit the completed Authorization to Release Information Form to financialaid@lincoln.edu.

  Complete the Loan Entrance Counseling

During Loan Entrance Counseling, you will utilize the program to ensure you understand your obligation to repay the loan.

  Complete the Master Promissory Note

The Master Promissory Note is a legal document agreeing to the terms of the loan and by filling it out you will formally accept the loan.

  Apply for the Parent PLUS Loan
As a part of your Financial Aid Assistance Letter from Lincoln University, your parent(s) were offered a loan from the Federal Direct Loan Program called the Parent PLUS Loan. This is an optional, credit-based loan specifically for parents to help cover their student's educational expenses while at school. Based on the parent's credit decision, if approved the PLUS Loan can cover up to the cost of attendance. If denied, the student becomes eligible for an additional unsubsidized loan.

Applications open for 2022-2023 on May 1, 2022

  Did you receive a Tentative Award?

If you received a tentative award, then you have been selected for federal verification. Federal verification is a process that requires institutions to verify the accuracy of the information provided on a student's FAFSA to ensure federal aid is distributed to those who are eligible. Students who are selected for the verification process are chosen through random selection by the Department of Education. You have been selected and are required to provide documentation to the school verifying the information entered on your FAFSA.

Submit the required documentation to financialaid@lincoln.edu. You can find the documents needed to complete verification listed on the Missing Information Notice attached to your award letter.

Congratulations! If you have successfuly completed all above steps, then you have finalized your financial aid for the upcoming academic year. Please note, finalizing your financial aid does not always mean that your bill is covered. You will still need to obtain financial clearance from the Bursar's Office. Head back over to the Admitted Students page to complete all of the remaining steps to becoming a new Lincoln Lion!
