LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA (www.lincoln.edu) – Lincoln University will present a two-day Student Leadership Development Conference, March 22-23, 2005, at the campus in southern Chester County, PA. The keynote speaker for the luncheon program at noon on Wednesday, March 23, in the Student Union Building, is Valerie E. Patton, Executive Director for the Saint Louis Business Diversity Initiative.
As executive director of the Saint Louis Business Diversity Initiative, Patton is responsible for the strategic direction and management of workforce diversity and supplier development for the business community in the Saint Louis, Missouri region.
Prior to being appointed in April 2002 to her current position, Patton served as vice president for telephone banking change management for Bank of America – St. Louis.
In addition, she has taught as an adjunct instructor at Harris Stowe State College and Saint Louis Community College at Forest Park in the fields of management, accounting, information technology and business administration. A Saint Louis native, Patton earned a Master of Arts degree from Webster University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University. She is currently studying for a Master’s degree in social work from Washington University in St. Louis.
