Lincoln University is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Gradowski as Vice President of Fiscal Affairs. The announcement was made by Lincoln University President Robert R. Jennings. Gradowski will begin his duties on August 7.
Gradowski comes to Lincoln University with several years experience in higher education finance both as a consultant and in administrative roles. For the last four years, and from 2002 to 2004, Gradowski was an independent consultant advising business and academic clients in comprehensive financial management solutions. From 2004 to 2008, he served as the Vice President, Business & Finance at Medaille College in Buffalo, New York, overseeing a $40 million budget and spearheading college-wide financial strategic planning. From 1995 to 2002, Gradowski served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Chicago-based Argosy Education Group. There he held full financial responsibility for the $77 million budget of the publicly-traded education service provider.
“I am excited to be joining President Jennings’ team at Lincoln University,” said Gradowski. “I look forward to bringing my expertise and experience to a school with a rich history and legacy. My wife and I look forward to residing in such a beautiful area of Pennsylvania.”
A certified public accountant in Illinois, Gradowski also has experience as a controller of two firms in the Prairie State, Clipper Express Company and Bally Coin-Op Manufacturing Corporation.
“I have full confidence in Mr. Gradowski to establish a strategic financial plan for Lincoln University that will position us for great success in the years to come,” said Jennings. “His vast experience in overseeing multi-million dollar budgets will be a great asset as Lincoln University seeks to be proper stewards of the funds we have been entrusted with. I am so pleased to have Mr. Gradowski join my cabinet and senior administrative team.”
Gradowski graduated from the University of Illinois-Urbana with a BS in accounting, and also has completed coursework for the MBA program at the same institution.
