LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~ On Friday, October 17, 2008 Lincoln University invites the public to get an up close and personal look at the nation’s first historically black institution of higher education at its Fall Open House.
The Open House Program, starting at 9 a.m., will provide an opportunity for you to meet with faculty, staff and students to experience first hand what the university has to offer. After the 9 a.m. registration session, there will be a welcome session hosted by the Lincoln University administration. You will also hear from students regarding “The Lincoln Legacy” and enjoy a musical selection from the Lincoln Concert and Gospel choirs.
Prospective students and parents will have one-on-one interaction with faculty and representatives from various academic departments via full-campus tours. The program will conclude with an admissions portion, where prospective students are encouraged to bring a completed application, official high school transcripts, SAT or ACT scores, two letters of recommendation and the $20 application fee for a decision on site.
The University has an enrollment of 2,500 students and is the nation’s largest producer of African-American graduates in the physical sciences, biological, and life sciences, and computer and information sciences, according the U.S. Department of Education. Lincoln’s top five undergraduate majors include criminal justice, business management, biology, accounting, and computer science.
