Lincoln Alum is now Baltimore’s Power 104.7 Midday Host
February 15, 2012 (Lincoln University, PA) – Lincoln University Alumnus, Jason Dailey, has been very successful in his career since graduating in 2010. Last year, Jason became the midday host of Baltimore’s Power 104.7, and has been showing off the skills he learned from Lion Media and his prior internships.
Power 104.7 is a Hip Hop/R&B radio station that boasts a listenership of 147,000 in the Baltimore area and over 300,000 worldwide. As the midday host, Dailey is responsible for technical operations, interviewing guests, playing chart topping hits and discussing hot topics of the day.
Dailey was heavily involved with Lion Media’s WWLU 88.7 during his four years of college. He excelled as the student General Manager and was responsible for many tasks, including scheduling music, training staff on equipment, providing air checks with Lion Media Manager, Ms. Sims, and conducting interviews.
Dailey credits his alma mater with playing a major role in his current success.
“Lincoln University taught me the importance of dedication,” said Dailey. “I had the opportunity of experiencing everything it took for [WWLU] to get back on the air – from getting music licenses, working with record labels and learning new equipment. Dedication is the key to any goal.”
Dailey made it his priority to take advantage of every opportunity available to him as an undergraduate at Lincoln University. While majoring in Mass Communications and volunteering at WWLU 88.7, he had multiple internships at Radio One’s WERQ-FM 92Q Jams, in Baltimore.
While he has already achieved one of his major career goals, Dailey has no plans of stopping soon.
“I plan to continue in radio, but I also plan on branching out to other ventures including magazine writing and video production. Who knows, I have no limitations on my dreams,“ said Dailey.
Tune into Lincoln’s own, Jason Dailey, on Baltimore’s Power 104.7, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
