On Saturday, May 3, the AALU (Alumni Association of Lincoln University) held their Inaugural Life Member Banquet and Awards Ceremony in the Student Union Multi-Purpose Room at The Lincoln University.  Alumni, family and friends from as far as California were in attendance to join in honoring Lincoln’s distinguished alumni for their service and dedication to the nation’s first degree-granting HBCU.

During their award acceptances, many honorees reflected on their college days and how important Lincoln remains to them.

The Students First Campaign became the topic of conversation as the master of ceremonies and AALU National President, Mr. Robert Ingram ’76, reminded everyone of the importance of their involvement and the need for alumni to aggressively support the $10 million Campaign effort. He urged all to give what they could to support before they left for the evening.

As a result, donations and pledges flowed. At last count, The Students First Campaign collected more than $4,000 in gifts and pledges for the evening.

The Students First Campaign was established to raise $6 million for merit-based student scholarships and $4 million for need-based student scholarships. We encourage all alumni to get on board and give their gift today. Please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement 484-365-7440.
