LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – The Lincoln University President Robert R. Jennings has announced the appointment of Andre Warner, former Director of User Support and Director of Institutional Technology at Harrisburg Area Community College as Assistant Vice President for Information Technology and Gloria Oikelome, Coordinator of Institutional Research and Assessment and Director of E-Forge Online Programs at Valley Forge Military College as Director of Assessment and Accreditation.
Both Warner and Oikelome, who were selected based on the recommendations of search committees comprised of a cross-section of faculty and staff, will begin their respective positions in January 2014.
In addition to serving as the Director of User Support and Director of Institutional Technology, Teaching Technology Services at Harrisburg Area Community College, Warner also served as the Campus Technology Support Coordinator for the institution’s virtual campus from 2008 to 2010.
Warner has also served as a LAN Technician for the Administrative Office of the Pennsylvania Courts in Mechanicsburg, PA; an Instructor with Thompson Institute of Harrisburg, PA; Network Analyst with Amisys Synertech, Harrisburg, PA; IT Manager with Mette, Evans & Woodside, Harrisburg; Network Administrator for the Senate Democratic Computing Services; Systems Engineer with IBM of Camp Hill, PA; PC Support Specialist, Manor Care, Inc, Silver Springs, MD; and as a PC Wizard with AKW & Associates of Harrisburg, PA.
A graduate of The George Washington University, Washington, DC, where he received a Master of Education degree in Educational Technology Leadership, Warner also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Television Production and Computer Science from Howard University, Washington, DC.
Oikelome, who will join the university on Jan. 7, brings a strong track record in assessment and accreditation issues. Prior to joining Valley Forge, she served as Coordinator of Assessment at the University of York/Hull York Medical School, United Kingdom. She has also worked for six years at Queen Mary University-London, United Kingdom, where she was responsible for evaluating research data utilizing quantitative and qualitative systems for analysis, managing heavy volumes of research data and producing reports and publications that assisted the institution in improving its systems and processes.
A graduate of Bethel University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, Oikelome received a Master of Science degree in biology and science education from Long Island University, New York, completed post graduate studies and received a Certificate in Comprehensive Assessment in Higher Education from Immaculata University and will complete the Doctorate of Education degree in Higher Education Administration from that University in May 2016.
