Athletics enter in agreement with Tones of Melanin

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. - The Lincoln University athletic department is pleased to announce a partnership with Tones of Melanin, a black- and woman-owned apparel business.

Tones of Melanin will sponsor the departments' Athlete of the Week program for the 2021-22 season.

"We are pleased to partner with this black-owned business," said Lincoln University Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Marketing Jayson Ameer Rasheed. "This partnership could be a boon for our current students, alums, and fans by giving them additional apparel options when supporting Lincoln University."

Through this collaboration, the increased visibility for our fan base will lead to more exposure for our brand through a variety of clothing collections available through the apparel website, www.tonesofmelanin.com.

"Tones of Melanin is excited to partner with Lincoln University, the nation's first degree-granting HBCU," said owner Ashley Jones. "As a Black- and Woman-Owned business, Tones of Melanin is proud to join Lincoln University in this culture-changing alliance to attract more athletes to HBCUs and to spread awareness of the exceptional uniqueness of an HBCU education throughout the country."
