Baseball falls to Kutztown

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University dropped a nine-inning non-conference game with Kutztown, 6-1, Tuesday at the North Campus Field in Kutztown, Pa.

Freshman Miguel Agramonte (Fallston, Md./Fallston) drove in Lincoln's lone run with an RBI sacrifice fly in the fourth inning, scoring sophomore Damaal Sands (Nassau, Bahamas/Montverde Academy (FL)) – who opened the inning with a double.

Sophomore Jefrey Azcona had Lincoln's other two knocks in the game, singles in the fifth and eighth innings.

Kutztown got the scoring going with a run in the bottom of the second and reclaimed the lead with a run in the fourth inning. The Bears tacked on two runs in the fifth and a solo run in the sixth. They capped the scoring with a single run in the eighth.

Sophomore Luis Miguel Reinoso (Beltsville, Md./High Point), 0-6, turned in one of his better outings of the season with a season-low two earned runs. He hurled 4 1/3 innings, allowing four runs – two earned – on three hits with four walks. The 4 1/3 innings marked the second-longest outing of the season for the sophomore righty.

Lincoln begins its East Coast Conference play 3 p.m. Friday, hosting Molloy.
