LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – This could be the beginning of a great week for Lincoln University senior Bryanna Brown (New York, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin).
For the first time in her career, the senior guard was named the CIAA Food Lion Player of the Week after helping the Lions an unbeaten week. She saved her best performance in Lincoln's first road game of the season. In the win over regionally-ranked Charleston, Brown registered her first career double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds.
"Bry has been playing well for us on both sides of the court," said Lincoln University head coach Janice Washington. "It's always nice to see a player honored for their hard work and dedication to their craft. She has been a leader for this team, on and off the court, and we are proud of her."
Brown averaged 16 points, 6.5 rebounds with five assists and five steals while shooting 44 percent from three-point ranked and hitting all 14 of her free throws.
Lincoln returns to the court 2 p.m. Saturday, hosting Jefferson. Brown is two points away from reaching 1,000 points in her collegiate career.
