LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Office of Veterans Affairs at Lincoln University supports the success of veterans, their dependents, and active military service members from all branches.

Maurice White-Harris, Lincoln University senior, is commissioned as a second lieutenant at the Baccalaureate service on May 5, 2018.

“I want to tell veterans and their families, we are here to help you navigate a seamless college experience that will lead to life-changing achievement,” said Tamarkius Roby, veterans affairs coordinator and the first director of the new office, which was established in October 2017.

Tamarkius Roby, the veterans coordinator at Lincoln University, speaks at a veterans day event in November 2017.

Roby has personal experience with both higher education and military service; he is a graduate of Lincoln University and serves in the U. S. Army Reserves with prior service in the Army National Guard and on active duty assignment.

Designated a Military Friendly School for 2015 by GI Jobs Magazine, the Office of Veterans Affairs can assist veterans and their dependents in getting answers to questions about enrollment, financial aid, GI Bill® educational benefits, ROTC, and military leave of absence.

“My goal is to ensure that each student receives the support and guidance they need to become a graduate of this historic institution. As a veteran myself, I understand that transitioning to higher education can be stressful and confusing at times.”
