Dreamgirls Opens April 12 in the Ware Center Theater

Lincoln University, Pa – Due to the inclement weather, Lincoln's spring musical production of Dreamgirls has been postponed. Evening performances will now begin at 7 p.m., April 12, 13, and 14 with a 2 p.m. matinee performance on April 15. 

Dreamgirls is the story of three friends from Detroit who dream of stardom.  After entering a local talent show, they go from back-up singers to break-out performers all while navigating the highs and the lows of the music industry.

Dreamgirls is performed by a 48-member ensemble of students and community members. The production is under the direction of Dr. Camilla Horne, who also conducts the musical pit of several members of Lincoln University’s jazz band that includes George Allen, professor Ralph Rogers and other area musicians.
