Evans scores one, Rasheed saves 19

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. - The Lincoln University women's soccer team fell to Queens College Saturday, 14-1, in East Coast Conference action at the LU Aux Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Lincoln was dangerous early, and it paid off with a goal in the fifth minute. After Kianna Lee (Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago/East Stroudsburg North (PA)) hit her shot off the post, senior Tamara Evans (Clayton, Del./Smyrna) deposited the rebound into the back of the net. It was Lincoln's first lead of the season.
  • Queens netted the equalizer moments later, and then an own goal gave the Knights the lead.
  • The Knights finished with eight goals in the first half and added six more in the second half.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

  • It was Evans' first goal of the season and Lee's first assist.
  • Freshman MacKienzee Rasheed (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills), in her first collegiate started, finished with 19 saves.
  • Queens launched 44 shots, 32 of which were on goal, while Lincoln finished with four shots.
  • Freshman Parker Moss (Elmira, N.Y. /Elmira) added two shots, one was on goal.

  • Lincoln (0-7 overall, 0-4 ECC) travels to Dominican College 2 p.m. Wednesday for a non-conference match
