Lincoln gears up for Homecoming 2018

Lincoln University, Pa. – Lincoln University invites friends and members of the community to “Roar” alongside students and alumni at Lincoln’s 2018 Homecoming October 7-14.

Members of the community can enjoy live music and food from local vendors for two nights during the Lincoln Community Stage and Gospel Fest held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 11, and Friday, October 12 at the Living Learning Center Breezeway outside of Lincoln’s football stadium.

Alumni are encouraged to attend a ceremony and reception in honor of Dr. Goro Nagase, a beloved professor who retired after teaching mathematics and computer science for over 30 years at Lincoln. The ceremony will start at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, October 13 at the Ivory V. Nelson Center for the Sciences with the reception to follow.

On Saturday, community members can tailgate and then attend Lincoln’s Homecoming football game and cheer alongside students and alumni as the Lincoln Lions face Elizabeth City State University at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 13 at the LU Football Stadium. Tickets are available at lullions.com. For an additional fee, guests are invited to participate in the Athletics Director's Beer & Wine Garden. 

Highlights during the week include the coronation of Mister & Miss Lincoln, the Career and Graduate School Fair, the Student STEM Workshop & Alumni Mixer, a fashion show, and the Homecoming Concert and After Party featuring artist such as Lil’ Baby.
