Using knowledge gained in the classroom, teams of students gathered to plan innovative ways to combat agricultural and environmental issues affecting the Chesapeake Bay area. Students were challenged to develop solutions that were environmentally, economically and politically sustainable.

Dr. Monica Gray, an assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering, coordinated the day’s activities.

“By 2050, the global population is projected to be about nine billion, resulting in significant increases in the demand for food and sustainable solutions to subsequent environmental challenges,” said Gray. “Lincoln University is therefore excited to partner with Mr. Andrew Rose and the MidAtlantic Farm Credit to expose our students to agricultural-related industries as well as connect them to professionals in this field.”
