LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Lincoln University’s Department of Computer Science plans to host an information technology summer camp for middle and high school students.
The day camp is designed to introduce students to the field of computer science and technology, and expose them to life as a college student.
“Students will expand their knowledge in computer science and technology, and gain skills necessary to develop their leadership potential,” said Haydar Teymourlouei, associate professor and interim chair of the computer science department at Lincoln.
During their time on campus, students will have the opportunity to take a variety of courses including cyber-security, encryption, email phishing, game design, computer programming and more.
The camp will run from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., June 11 – 29, at the Ivory V. Nelson Science Building on Lincoln University’s main campus. The application deadline is April 6. Those eligible to apply must meet certain GPA requirements and be 13 – 18 years old with an interest in information technology. The price of the camp is $100.
