MBB: Williams honored by BCSN

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA - Senior forward Deaquan Williams (Camden, N.J./Camden) has been named to the Black College Sports Network Preseason Basketball team, the organization announced today (December 3, 2020).
 
Williams (Camden, N.J./Camden) earned first-team honors and is one of two Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association players named to the team.
 
"This is an outstanding accomplishment to be considered one of the best players nationally at an HBCU," said Lincoln University head men's basketball coach Corey Lowery. "Congratulations to all the players named, and with recognition comes expectations. I believe Deaquan can live up to the expectations by continuing his incredible work ethic on and off the court."
 
He was a second-team postseason All-American Division II honoree by BoxToRow. Additionally, Williams was the CIAA Defensive Player of the Year after averaging 11.2 rebounds/game, which was ranked fifth nationally. The senior forward led the team and the CIAA with 16 double-doubles.
 
Through a pair of games, Williams is averaging nine points and eight rebounds. 
 
Lincoln (2-0) travels to face Division I Niagara 1 p.m. Sunday.
