LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University women's cross country team placed third and the men's cross country team fourth in the Dan Talbot Open Saturday at Rose Tree Park, Media, Pa.
Sophomore Nackacee McNab was the top harrier in the 6K race, placing 11th overall in 30:07.3, while freshman Destiny Pierre Mathieu (Drexil Hill, Pa. /Prendie & Bonner) placed 12th with the time of 30:48.0.
Freshman Kamani Johns (Chester, Pa./Chester) was 15th with the time of 32:44.0 and was followed by Aniah Epps, who placed 16th in 32:50.0. Sophomore Kaz'minah Turner (Northfield, N.J./Pleasantville) was the final scoring Lion to cross the tape with the time of 40:38.4.
On the men's side, freshman Clayton McLaren (Brockton, Mass./Brimmer and May) was the first Lincoln runner to complete the 8K course, placing 14th with the time of 34:20.9.
Three Lions finished in consecutive order as freshman Jeremy Gyan (Bear, Del./Newark Charter) (38:23.4), freshman Lamar Clanton (Wyncote, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) (38:35.2), and junior Cory Muzon (39:13.8) placed in 25th, 26th and 27th, respectively. Sophomore Spencer Seide (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mount Vernon) was the final harrier to score for the Lions, placing 32nd in 44:06.4.
Lincoln returns to action Saturday at the Jack St. Clair Invitational at Belmont Plateau.
