LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. –Students entering Lincoln University in the fall 2018 semester must complete steps in the clearance process to ensure a smooth transition to campus this fall.
More than 600 deposited students for the fall semester received an email detailing the financial and health clearances needed. The admitted student webpage also provides step-by-step instructions.
Once the student meets all health and financial clearance requirements, he/she will receive an official room assignment, a CAMpass placard—a "pass to campus"— for move in and participate in New Student Orientation and transition week activities, which among many activities includes testing, advising, and course scheduling. In order to receive a room assignment, students must be cleared financially through financial aid, the bursar and health services by July 1.
Financial Aid
While many students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, known as the FAFSA, this is only the first step of the financial aid process. For students who have a subsidized or unsubsidized loan listed on their award letter and decide to use these funds to pay for school, they must then complete a master promissory note, known as an MPN, as well as loan entrance counseling. Both of these items are found online at www.studentloans.gov. No loan funds can be awarded without completion of both items.
Health and Immunizations
The health and safety of students is the University’s number one priority. Health forms are available online.
Bursar
All Lincoln students must adhere to the University’s 80/20 tuition requirement. This means that 80 percent of the student’s bill must be covered through scholarships, grants, loans, a payment from the student, or a combination is required. The University allows the remaining 20 percent of the bill to be paid via the University payment plan.
Enrollment is the responsibility of the entire University. Calls from University team members to answer your questions, and support you through the enrollment process will take place throughout the month of June. In addition, students will receive two videos with clearance information. Group chats will be established and lead by residence life and the Student Government Association.
