Nominations for 2019 Lincoln University Athletics Hall of Fame Class to Open on November 12

The Lincoln University Athletics Department will begin accepting nominations for the 2019 Athletics Hall of Fame Class on Monday, November 12, 2018.  The deadline to submit an application is January 15, 2019
 
Nominees must have served the University as an athlete, coach, championship teams or through meritorious service.
 
Student-athletes must be five years removed from their last date of competition and left in good academic standing in order to be eligible, athletes should have earned a letter in multiple sports or at least two letters in one collegiate sport.

A coach must have served as a Head Coach for a minimum of five years and their record should display an outstanding record as well as tremendous dedication and support to the success of the Lincoln Lions Athletic program.
 
Meritorious service is designated for those individuals who have made significant contributions to the development and well-being of student-athletes, Department of Athletics, Lincoln University and the community.

Championship teams can also be nominated. Teams that have won National Championship or significant Regional Championship will be automatically in consideration for selection once a 25 year period has occurred if not nominated sooner.

Only nominations received by January 15, 2019 will be considered for the current year, but nominations may be made at any time. Selections for induction will be from qualified nominees each year.  Incomplete nomination submissions will not be considered in the voting process.  Selections will be made by the Hall of Fame Committee in consultation with the Director of Athletics.

You must provide photographs, online articles, newspaper clippings, and other documents (copies acceptable) to support your nomination. Materials will be used by the committee in the selection process. If nominee is selected, please be aware that the Lincoln University Sports Information Office will contact the selected individual for a complete biography (if not already provided). The Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will take place on Alumni Weekend, May 3-5, 2019 on the campus of Lincoln University.  Tickets for the event will go on sale in the Spring of 2019.
