With a faculty development grant Wadley received from the University, Wadley’s film also explores the struggles of African American families that suffer from chemical dependency and “opens up a sensitive conversation about its intersection with race and sexuality,” said Wadley.

Since the release of his documentary, Wadley has held screenings at drug and alcohol centers throughout Philadelphia including the Northeast Treatment Center.

Wadley is the editor in chief of the Journal of Black Sexuality and Relationships and principal of the Association of Black Sexologist and Clinicians. His documentary can be found online for purchase.

Melrath Authors Second BookMelrath Authors Second Book

Bernadette Melrath, a program assistant in Lincoln University registrar’s office, recently published her second book “Hold My Hand Through It All.” When describing her work, Melrath writes that her book “consists of the many different feelings that I felt with the passing of my husband. I thought that my life was over. He left me to fend for myself, and at one point I hated him for that. I felt lost, alone, and confused.”

Melrath said her book was written to let people know that they are not alone when they mourn the loss of a loved one.

Her book is available for purchase on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other bookstores.
