LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University women's soccer team put together one of its best performances of the year, but the Lions fell to the College of Staten Island Wednesday, 2-0, in East Coast Conference action at the Dolphin Soccer Park, Staten Island, N.Y.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two teams fought to a scoreless draw for the first 33 minutes.
- Lincoln went down a player in the 29th minute as a defender picked up her second yellow card.
- CSI tallied both of their goals in the moments following as the Dolphins scoring in the 34th and 40th minutes.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- CSI finished with a 19-0 shot advantage with 13 of the 18 shots being on goal.
- Freshman Saige Samuels (Laurel, Md. /Paint Branch) finished with 11 saves.
- Lincoln was given four yellow cards and a red card.

- Lincoln (0-6 overall, 0-3 ECC) returns home for its next to last home game of the season, hosting Queen College 2 p.m. Saturday at the LU Auxiliary Field.
