Ten choir students chosen for intercollegiate music festival

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Ten students have been chosen from the Lincoln University Concert Choir to represent Lincoln University at the Intercollegiate Music Association Festival in Fayetteville, North Carolina from Thursday, February 7 to Sunday, February 9.

The students, along with their major and hometown, are:

  • Rianna Christian, biology, Elizabeth, NJ
  • Caleb Gentry, health science, Lansing, MI
  • Daivon Gunter, nursing, Bridgeton, NJ
  • Savannah McLaughlin, French, Washington, D.C. 
  • Ameenah Muhammad, music, Norristown, PA
  • Thomas Nash, visual arts, Washington, D.C. 
  • Phillip Quander-Mosley, political science, Bowie, MD
  • Shawn Weaver, music, Yeadon, PA
  • Nasira Wilson, accounting, Philadelphia, PA

Founded in 1961, the Intercollegiate Music Association serves as a vehicle for enriching and enhancing the development of the students of its member institutions. For over 45 years, IMA has enhanced the overall ethos of music performance and education for some of the most significant historically black colleges and universities located on the east coast.  

The 10 Lincoln University vocalists will join singers from 14 other schools and perform an exciting choral repertoire from a myriad of genres. The guest conductor for this year’s IMA Chorus is Dr. Harlan Zackery, Jr., director of choral activities at Norfolk State University.
