The Value Colleges organization has ranked Lincoln University as the No. 10 Historically Black College and University in the country.
The No. 10 ranking among the nation’s 101 HBCUs is based on four factors:
- Reputation (based on LU’s top 20 HBCU ranking by U.S. News & World Report)
- Return on investment
- Real cost for nonresidents
- Graduation rates.
“Long recognized as a traditional liberal arts college, in the 21st century, Lincoln is developing as a leader in professional education and research for the modern, tech-driven economy,” stated Value Colleges. “Students are drawn to the support and mentorship of a small liberal arts college (including a 12:1 student: faculty ratio) and to Lincoln’s reputation throughout Pennsylvania and the north. These advantages make Lincoln a solid value.”
Adds Dr. Brenda A. Allen, president of Lincoln University, “Our No. 10 ranking among all HBCUs underscores both the high quality of the education we provide and the cost-effective, real world value that a liberal arts degree from Lincoln University represents.”
In other news, Great Value Colleges ranked Lincoln University as one of the 100 Great Value Colleges for a bachelor’s degree in philosophy in the country.
