I BRY-LIEVE
Fifth-year senior Bryanna Brown (New York, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin), a career 1,000-point scorer, is leading the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) with 17.5 points per game. She is second in the conference, and 19th nationally, making 87.96 percent (95-of-108) of her free throws this season, and made a CIAA-best 95 made free throws. She leads the CIAA with 2.3 three-pointers per game. Brown needs just three more three-pointers to eclipse 100 for her Lincoln career.
Coming into the season, the guard was named preseason All-CIAA as a backcourt selection in the conference vote of head coaches and sports information personnel.
VARIABLE STARTERS
Mainly due to injuries, Lincoln has rolled out 12 different starting lineups this season, with just one quintet getting more than four games together. The lineup of Jaleesa Lanier (Easton, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic), Bryanna Brown (New York, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin), Jade Young (Philadelphia, Pa./Abington Friends School), Joy Morton (Yeadon, Pa./Penn Wood), and Kryshell Gordy (Chester, Pa./Ursuline Academy (Del.)) has started the last two games together and four total. Lincoln is now 10-3 with Lanier starting at point guard.
ATLANTIC REGIONAL POLL
In the most recent D2SIDA Atlantic Region Poll, Lincoln is now seventh in the region after going 2-1 last week.
ATTENDANCE
Fans are showing up to Manuel Rivero this season as Lincoln leads the CIAA in home attendance, averaging 750 fans - almost 400 more than any school in the CIAA.
TRANSITION POINTS
As a team, the Lions are at their best when they can gain points in transition. The Lions are 13-1 when they register at least 16 fast-break points and just 3-6 when they fail to record 16 points.
FROM DOWNTOWN
Lincoln is second in the CIAA with 5.2 three-pointers per game and a league-high 129 total three-pointers. However, the Lions are eighth in percentage, making 27.4 percent.
DROPPING DIMES
Junior Jade Young (Philadelphia, Pa./Abington Friends School) is third in the CIAA with 3.3 assists per game and is second with a 1.6 assist to turnover ratio.
