Virginia State pulled to as close as six after scoring the first four points of the third quarter, but the Lions were not going to be denied from claiming the tournament's top seed.

By the time the five seniors left to a standing ovation by the fans in attendance with a little more than three minutes remaining, the Lincoln had ballooned to 22 points and the only question remaining was the final score.

Lincoln kicks off its tournament run 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Royal Farms Arena against the winner of Tuesday's Winston-Salem/St. Augustine's game.
