Women's Soccer loses to Chestnut Hill

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. - The Lincoln University women's soccer team stepped away from East Coast Conference action Tuesday, falling to Chestnut Hill 9-0 at Victory Field, Lafayette Hill, Pa.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Chestnut Hill launched 15 first-half shots, 12 of which were on goal, to take a 6-0 lead at halftime.
  • The Lions allowed 19 second-half shots, nine of which were on goal. Chestnut Hill tacked on three goals in the second 45-minute stanza.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

  • Freshman Kirsten Edwards (Baltimore, Md./Mercy) had three shots, including both of the Lions' shots on goal.
  • Freshman Parker Moss (Elmira, N.Y. /Elmira) and senior Kenya Davis (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo) also had shots.
  • Lincoln was outshot by the Griffins, 36-6.
  • Freshman MacKienzee Rasheed (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills) finished with 12 saves on 21 shots.
  • The Lions were issued two yellow cards, while Chesnut Hill was called for eight fouls and Lincoln called for five.

  • Lincoln returns to the pitch 5 p.m. Friday, traveling to Buffalo, N.Y., for an ECC match with D'Youville.
