LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA - The Lincoln University women's basketball team opened North Division action 2 p.m. Saturday, traveling to Bowie State.

SERIES HISTORY
Lincoln trails the overall series, losing 13 of the 24 meetings between the two teams.
I BRY-LIEVE
Fifth-year senior Bryanna Brown (New York, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin), a career 1,000-point scorer, is leading the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) with 16.9 points per game. She also leads the conference, making 87.7 percent (64-of-73) of her free throws this season, and with 64 made free throws. She is also first in the CIAA with 2.2 three-pointers per game.
Coming into the season, the guard was named preseason All-CIAA as a backcourt selection in the conference vote of head coaches and sports information personnel.
HIGH POWERED OFFENSE
Lincoln rebounded from one of its lowest scoring outputs of the season with a 77-point effort in a win over Saint Augustine's. With that, the Lions lead the CIAA in scoring with 73.6 points per game. The Lions are second in scoring margin at plus-11.6. LU is one of five CIAA schools with a positive scoring margin.

Lincoln is ranked ninth in the latest D2SIDA Atlantic Region Poll.
TRANSITION POINTS
As a team, the Lions are at their best when they can gain points in transition. In their nine victories, Lincoln is averaging 20 fast-break points. In the four losses, they are averaging 15 points, which is skewed by a 24-point effort in a one-point loss to Jefferson.
The Lions are 8-1 when they register at least 16 fast-break points and just 2-3 when they fail to record 16 points.
FROM DOWNTOWN
Lincoln is second in the CIAA with 5.4 three-pointers per game and a league-high 75 total three-pointers.
VARIABLE STARTERS
Coming off an extended layoff, Lincoln was forced to make a few changes to the starting lineup with Jaleesa Lanier (Easton, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) and Jade Young (Philadelphia, Pa./Abington Friends School) unavailable. They turned to a previous lineup in the meeting against Claflin and Saint Augustine's.

Three different players - Ciani Montgomery (Philadelphia, Pa./West Catholic Prep), Jade Young (Philadelphia, Pa./Abington Friends School), and Lanier - have all started at point guard this season. Lincoln is 5-1, on a five-game winning streak, with Lanier as the point guard.
