LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA - Lincoln University women's basketball team returns to Manuel Rivero for the first time in nearly a month as the Lions host Elizabeth City State in a key Atlantic Region and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association meeting.
SERIES HISTORY
Despite trailing the overall series, 16-10, the Lions have won six consecutive games - and eight of the last nine - against Elizabeth City State.
I BRY-LIEVE
Fifth-year senior Bryanna Brown (New York, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin), a career 1,000-point scorer, is leading the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) with 15.8 points per game. She is second in the conference, making 88.0 percent (66-of-75) of her free throws this season, and made a CIAA-best 64 made free throws. She is second in the CIAA with 2.1 three-pointers per game.
Coming into the season, the guard was named preseason All-CIAA as a backcourt selection in the conference vote of head coaches and sports information personnel.
ATLANTIC REGIONAL POLL
In the most recent D2SIDA Atlantic Region Poll, Lincoln and Elizabeth City State are two of three teams tied for seventh place. The two teams are tied with Shepherd.
IDENTICAL TEAMS
Not only are the teams tied in the most recent regional poll, they are the top two teams in the CIAA in scoring margin. Lincoln leads the conference at plus-12.7, while ECSU is second at plus-12.6.
Lincoln leads the CIAA in scoring (71.8 ppg), while Elizabeth City State is third in scoring (68.9). Conversely, Elizabeth City State leads the conference allowing 56.4 points, while the Lions are third with 59.1 points.
ATTENDANCE
Fans are showing up to Manuel Rivero this season as Lincoln leads the CIAA in home attendance, averaging 775 fans.
TRANSITION POINTS
As a team, the Lions are at their best when they can gain points in transition. In their nine victories, Lincoln is averaging 20 fast-break points. In the four losses, they are averaging 15 points, which is skewed by a 24-point effort in a one-point loss to Jefferson.
The Lions are 9-1 when they register at least 16 fast-break points and just 2-3 when they fail to record 16 points.

Lincoln is second in the CIAA with 5.2 three-pointers per game and a league-high 83 total three-pointers.
