LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – The Lincoln University track and field teams registered eight personal records as the Lions competed at the Morgan State Legacy Track and Field Meet in Baltimore, MD.
Freshman Ra'ar Corinaldi recorded the highest finish of any Lincoln University harrier, placing second in the 400-meter hurdles in a personal-best time of 56.16 seconds. He wasn't the only LU hurdler to eclipse their best times in the event. Freshman Aisha Carrington (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:07.06, while sophomore Nakacee McNab (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) was fifth in 1:07.26. McNab ran a personal record in the 400-meters in the time of 59.40.
Freshman Kamani Johns (Chester, Pa./Chester) was fourth in the 400-meter run with a PR time of 57.22 seconds. Junior Spencer Seide (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mount Vernon) also picked up a PR in the 400 with a time of 49.92.
The men's 4x100 relay team of Glenn Butler, Dominic George (Wyncote, Pa./Cheltenham), Nyle Buchanan (King George, Va./King George), and Jude Butumbi (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast) set a new PR of 41.94, while the 4x400 team of Lamar Clanton (Wyncote, Pa./Bishop McDevitt), George, Buchanan, and Butumbi ran a season record of 3:21.79.
The women's 4x100 relay team of Breanna Lee (Lansdowne, Pa./Penn Wood), Makayla Clement, Ade Conover, and Talia Simpson ran a season-best time of 51.79 in placing fifth. Senior Lorielle Laforest (Chester, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) placed fifth in the shot put with a PR distance of 10.99 meters.
Freshman Jeremy Gyan (Bear, Del./Newark Charter) (eighth, pole vault), Glenn Butler (seventh, long jump), and Christopher Brown (New Castle, Del./William Penn) (eighth, shot put) all registered top-eight finishes for the Lions.
Lincoln returns to action Thursday at the prestigious Penn Relays.
