LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~ Lincoln University will hold its annual Spring Open House from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8 in the International Cultural Center, located on the main campus in southern Chester County. Inclusive is a tour of the campus and an address from Lincoln University President Ivory V. Nelson, Ph.D.
Organized by the Office of Admissions, Open House is an event that provides an opportunity for prospective students and their parents or guardians to meet with university faculty, staff, and students and gain firsthand information about the university’s various academic programs and extracurricular activities.
An education at Lincoln University allows you to choose from 30 majors or study under the Mass Communications, Business Information Technology, Lincoln-Barnes Visual Arts, Teacher Education and Urban Pedagogy or Health Disparities Center of Excellence. Prospective students can meet with the directors and current students from each of the University’s five Centers of Excellence.
According to Germel Clarke, director of Admissions, Open House has become a popular attraction for prospective students. Clarke said attendance has increased annually and she expects the trend to continue.
The schedule of activities is as follows:
9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Registration at the International Cultural Center
10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Welcome Session by Administrators
11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Campus Tours: Students will be escorted around campus
12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Academic/Student Services, Various Locations
Lunch /Entertainment in Manuel Rivero Hall
1p.m. – 2:30 p.m. /On-site admission in the International Cultural Center
Prospective students are encouraged to bring copies of their high school transcripts, SAT or ACT scores, one letter of recommendation and the $20 application fee for a decision on-site.
