Lincoln University is pleased to announce the appointment of Rita Dibble as Director of Alumni Relations. She began her duties at Lincoln on July 1.
Most recently, Dibble served as the Director of Alumnae Relations at Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and prior to that, she served as the Assistant Director of Development at Misericordia University in Dallas, Pennsylvania. From 1998 to 2006, she served as a Regional Director of Development with the American Cancer Society.
“I am so excited, I really am,” said Dibble. “It is rare to come across an opportunity to join an institution that has such unique alumni. Lincoln University has a combination of everything that I have wanted – academic rigor, community activity, and an emphasis on social justice.”
Dibble earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English literature in her native India. She holds a second master’s degree in mass communications from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. A seasoned world traveler, Dibble has lived in four countries: India, the United States, England, and Germany. She is also fluent in three languages: Hindi, English, and Gujarati.
“Lincoln University is very fortunate to have found someone with the experience of Rita Dibble,” said Dr. Robert R. Jennings, President of Lincoln University. “Her extensive travels throughout the world will be highly valued as Lincoln University alumni can be found in several areas around the globe. She will be a welcomed addition to the very diverse community at Lincoln University.”
Dibble has been married to her husband Edward for nearly three decades and they are the parents of three adult children.
