Robert N. Gardner Fitness Trail
The fitness trail is named for former Lincoln professor, coach and administrator of 39 years Robert N. Gardner. Gardner served as chairman of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department, chairman of the Athletics Department, director of the Act 101 program, director of the Peace Corps training programs, acting dean of students, director of the University Co-op Canteen, University marshal and director of physical education. The trail was dedicated at Homecoming 1986.
