Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney has appointed a Lincoln professor and alumni as director of the Black Male Engagement Office for the City of Philadelphia.
Jack Drummond is an adjunct professor in the Department of Psychology & Human Services who primarily teaches at the Coatesville location. Drummond, a native of the Mantua section of West Philadelphia, graduated from Lincoln in 2000 where he triple majored in psychology, music, and education. He earned a Master’s of Education degree from Lincoln in 2002. He is currently completing a doctoral degree in Education Leadership & Policy at Temple University.
The Black Male Engagement Office is housed within the city’s Office of Public Engagement and was instituted under former Mayor Michael Nutter. The Office’s mission is to broaden the awareness and address the needs of young men of color.
