High School Seniors and Transfer Students From Across the Country Visited the Southern Chester County Campus for the Annual Feel the Roar Event
LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa .– The third annual Feel the Roar Spring Senior Open House at Lincoln University on March 31 attracted the largest crowd to date with more than 650 high school seniors and more than 1,000 visitors total who traveled from as far away as California, Kentucky, and Connecticut.

“This is an exciting time for Lincoln University. I get chills when I see the excitement on the faces of students. I attribute our success to the admissions and financial aid team and every member of the Lincoln family who play a role in advancing the legacy of this great institution by supporting our efforts,” said Kimberly Taylor-Benns, associate vice president for enrollment management.
Guests began arriving at the International Cultural Center before 9 a.m. on school buses or with family members and were welcomed by cheering crowds of current Lincoln students.
The auditorium fills to capacity with more than 1,000 visitors on March 31 for the third annual Feel the Roar Spring Senior Open House at Lincoln University. The annual event attracted the largest crowd to date with more than 650 high school seniors who traveled from as far away as California, Kentucky, and Connecticut.
Senior campus officials formally welcomed the guests including Interim President Richard Green, Interim Vice President for Student Affairs Roselle Wilson, Dean of Students Lenetta Lee, Financial Aid Director Kim Anderson, and Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Patricia Ramsey, who touted Lincoln’s graduation rate, which she said has the highest four-year graduation rate of any public Historically Black College & University of its kind. Mister and Miss Lincoln took the stage to teach the packed crowd the LU cheer, and select members of the concert choir sang.
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions conducted on-site admissions, while admitted prospective students had the option to pay their deposits. Guests attended an information session about the academic degree programs offered at Lincoln and were treated to a lunch in the Wellness Center dining hall. The day concluded with a high-energy pep rally at the International Cultural Center featuring performances by the band and cheerleaders.

Since its inception, Lincoln has attracted an multiracial and international enrollment from the surrounding community, region, and around the world. The University admitted its first female students in 1952 and formally associated with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1972 as a state-related, coeducational university. Lincoln currently enrolls approximately 2,100 students.
