LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Today marks the end of the first week of new students visiting campus for student testing and registration — or STAR — days. More than 100 freshman and transfer students participated this week and more than 400 are expected to participate in STAR days through July 28.
STAR days assist students with the transition to college. In addition to student placement testing, students and parents attending STAR days receive vital updates from units across campus including Financial Aid, Bursar, Residence Life, Student Support Services, and the Center for Advising and Student Achievement.
Lincoln University requires placement tests in writing and math for admitted first-time students and some transfer students. The tests determine the most appropriate English and math courses that match the student’s current knowledge and skills.
On the Main Campus, testing and scheduling begins at 9 a.m. in Wright Hall and course scheduling will run from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Friday as follows:
- June 26, 27, and 30
- July 10, 11, and 14
- July 17, 18, and 21
- July 24, 25, and 28
At University City, testing will be available on June 30, July 14, July 21, and July 28.
Remote testing and virtual online testing is available. A charge for these testing options may be incurred and any cost is the responsibility of the student. Students interested in remote or online testing should contact Patricia Fullmer at 484-365-7495 or pfullmer@lincoln.edu.
Students are reminded that in order to register for classes during STAR days, health forms must be returned to Health Services or brought on testing day.
For those unable to participate in STAR days, testing and registration will also be available during New Student Orientation in August, however, a delay in the placement testing will result in a delay in course scheduling.
The Center for Advising and Student Achievement manages STAR days with guidance by Enrollment Management and support from various campus departments.
