A Lincoln University professor is one of only 20 participants selected after a nationwide nominating process for a workshop with Historically Black College and University faculty.
John O. Chikwem
John O. Chikwem will participate in the preconference workshop for HBCU faculty at the 4th International Conference of the Center for Culturally Responsive Evaluation and Assessment, commonly known as CREA.
The workshop is designed to strengthen proposal submission as well as opportunities for publication. The event is September 26-29 in Chicago, Illinois. Lincoln University’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs nominated Chikwem.
Chikwem,a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Biology, specializes in Microbiology and Immunology. He earned his doctorate from Ohio University.
Prior to the official opening of the CREA Conference, Chikwem will participate in a meet-and-greet event to be held in his honor and the honor of the other 19 selectees. The event will be attended by program officers from NSF and other funding agencies. The President of the American Evaluation Association and the leadership of CREA will also attend this event.
With Chikwem's selection, he will automatically be registered for STEM Central, an online platform supporting STEM Reform and Broadening Participation Projects. He will also become a member of a community of practice that will provide him access to a private community area reserved on STEM Central.
