NEW YORK, NY— Lincoln University Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Patricia Pierce Ramsey was elected to the College Board’s Middle States Regional Council on December 20, 2017 in Bala Cynwyd, PA. Her three-year term will begin on March 9, 2018. Dr. Ramsey is one of only seven professionals in the geographic area to be elected to this advisory body this year.
The Middle States Regional Council enables K-12 and higher education professionals from Washington, D.C., Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands to interact with neighboring colleagues and exchange ideas and best practices. The Council meets regularly to vote on College Board governance issues and inform the College Board’s programs and services, which serve more than seven million students each year.
“The College Board will benefit immensely from Dr. Ramsey’s decades of experience as an educator, researcher, and administrator,” said David Adams, vice president, College Board Middle States Regional Office. “She’s joining an esteemed group of education leaders whose insight is invaluable as we aim to expand opportunity for all students.”
