LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The pews at the Mary Dod Memorial Chapel were full on Sunday as members of the local Willowdale Chapel filled the nearly 120-year-old building for a joint worship service alongside students, faculty, and members of the Lincoln community.
Pastors Larry Redmond and Johnny Johnston of Willowdale Chapel joined President Brenda A. Allen in the audience as the joint congregation enjoyed musical selections from the Lincoln Concert Choir, the LU Chapel Praise Team, and students.

Pastor Redmond, addressed the congregation with a sermon titled “Becoming The Beloved Community.” Throughout his sermon, Redmond spoke of the importance of community fellowship and prayers.
After service, the joint congregation met for lunch in the Chapel’s fellowship hall.
“This worship experience and lunch fellowship is one we will always cherish,” said Rev. Dr. Frederick Faison, who serves as chaplain and also associate dean of the college and dean of students.
Members of the Willowdale community were on campus earlier this academic year to help with new and transfer student move in during the fall semester.
