LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa - The Lincoln University Athletics Department has announced a partnership with Game Plan to engage student-athletes with additional education resources as well as open opportunities for career development and a mentorship network.
With Game Plan, Lincoln will utilize different eLearning modules to engage their student-athletes and staff around topics such as Social Justice and Race Relations, Mental Health, Sexual Violence Prevention and Financial Education. In addition to the eLearning platform, Lincoln plans to provide additional resources through the Career platform for student-athletes and their alumni network.
"We are excited to partner with Game Plan," said Lincoln University Director of Athletics and Recreational Services Harry Stinson III. "This platform provides our student athletes with tools to enrich their professional development. Our goal is to provide resources to ensure the success of our students on and off the playing surface and Game Plan helps us reach this goal!"
Lincoln University is a member of Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) for 11 varsity sports and in the East Coast Conference for two varsity sports. Excellence is the forefront of Lincoln University and the institution strives to provide opportunities for their students to excel both in their academics and through competition.
"I was fortunate enough to grow up near Lincoln University and always admired their student-athletes," said Game Plan CEO Vin McCaffrey. "As an HBCU competing in the CIAA, it is an awesome student-athlete experience. Our team is thrilled to work with Lincoln as they continue to promote education in social justice, healthy relationships and the comprehensive development of the student-athlete and are already receiving interests by employers to engage their student-athlete community!"
