Multiple career-bests highlight Del State meet

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Four Lincoln University student-athletes posted season-best marks as the Lions recently competed at the Delaware State Sting Invitational.

Sophomore Lorielle Laforest (Chester, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) (Chester, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) placed fourth in the shot put with a season-best mark of 6.69 meters, while freshman Serena Johnson (Manchester, Conn./Prince Tech) (Manchester, Conn./Prince Tech) recorded a fifth-place finish with a career mark of 31.09 meters.

Freshman Charlette Hardy (Philadelphia, Pa. /Overbrook) (Philadelphia, Pa./Overbrook) finished fifth in the 400 meters with a career-best time of 1:02.08. For the first time this season, freshman Shania Cannion-Lowery (Philadelphia, Pa./Hill-Freedman World Academy) competed in the 400-meter hurdles and finished with a time of 1:21.89. Junior Lacendria Pulley (Essex, Md./Baltimore Polytech) (Essex, Md./Baltimore Polytech) posted a time of 12.92 seconds in the 100-meter dash.

On the men's side, freshman Austin Wilson (Jersey City, N.J./Henry Snyder) (Jersey City, N.J./Henry Snyder) continued his steady improvement in the 800. For the third straight meet, Wilson dropped his time and posted a time of 2:02.07.

Freshman Da'Avionce Rodriguez (Lancaster, Pa. /J.P. McCaskey) (Lancaster, Pa./JP McCluskey) finished the 100 in 11.23 seconds and finished the 200 in 23.31 seconds.

Lincoln returns to action May 1 at the Rowan University Fast Times.
